Gestational Surrogacy is becoming a commonly accepted medical practice which has made it possible for couples in which either one of the couple is infertile or the woman is incapable of carrying a live birth, to have a baby.  It is established on the lines of other techniques like In Vitro fertilization and intra cytoplasmic sperm injection but involves the transfer of resultant embryos into a surrogate mother and not into the genetic mother.so even though the surrogate mother is carrying the pregnancy she has no genetic link to the child.
