Dr kiran D sekhar is an eminent Gynaecologist and Obstetrician and presently Managing Director of Sai Kiran Hospital & Kiran Infertility Centre Hyderabad, She has completed her graduation and post graduation from the prestigious Osmania General Hospital Hyderabad, she has the unique and rare distinction of standing first in her MBBS and also her MD post graduate examinations, she was awarded 11 gold medals by then minister the honourable late Mr channa Reddy in the year 1972.

She took up govt. service and worked as an associate professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the govt maternity hospital Hyderabad for 12 years, she then worked as head of the department at King Fahad hospital in kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the middle east for 4 years and is recognized all over India, middle east and several European coutries for her pioneering work in the field of infertility and test tube baby technology.

She has established a state of the art ivf(test tube baby clinic ) at Hyderabad for the last 12 years, her clinic caters comprehensively to the needs of infertile couples under 1 roof, under her leadership and guidance the clinic has helped more than 3000 couples achieve a pregnancy, her clinic was the first to introduce the use of colour doppler in the field of infertility in south India, she is also an expert in the field of endoscopic surgery and as performed more than 2000 laproscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries. She has diagnosed and treated patient’s from all over the world, she has several academic interests and has trained more than 200 Gynaecologists and several Embryologists in the field of ultrasound, in vitro fertlisation etc,

She has the distinction of being vice president of FOGSI (federation of obstetrics and gynaecological society of India) an umbrella organization for more than 20,000 doctors across India. She is member of more than 50 societies across India and several others all over the world, she has travelled all over the country spreading the message of population stabilization and child care.

She has given and organised several lectures as faculty at several national and international conferences. She is also author of several books on ivf and infertility, she and the clinic has been honoured by none other than the Prime Minister of India Dr manmohan singhji and several dignitaries and eminent personalities for her outstanding work in the field of infertility. She writes columns and articles to answer queries of patient’s in several local and national newspapers.

She is also member of European society for human reproduction and embryology and the American society for reproductive medicine.
