What are your options if you don’t have healthy eggs?
There are different alternatives to build a family when you do not have healthy eggs to produce. Among them Egg Donor treatment consists of two types which are termed as Fresh and Frozen donor eggs.
Fresh eggs: Through fresh egg donors, every donor undertakes IVF and her eggs are retrieved in a process, and then fertilised with either partner sperm/donor sperm. The resulting embryos are grown in the lab for few days and then transferred to the recipient woman’s uterus. Typically in such a scenario there will be enough embryos to transfer one or two Blastocyst embryos back into the uterus and cryopreserve the remaining.
Frozen eggs: Using frozen donor eggs is less common and successful than fresh eggs and equally successful.
