Surrogacy is one of various existing methods of ART techniques that are used to treat increasing number of infertile couples who are unable to have a child on their own despite routine treatments such as IVF and ICSI. Surrogate motherhood includes the services of a woman who agrees to carry a child for the reason of granting that baby to the intending couple upon the delivery of the child.
Gestational surrogacy?
- This is generally done for those who are not capable to carry a pregnancy dues to absence or malformations in the uterus
- Medical and surgical conditions that complicate pregnancy such as severe Diabetes, Hypertension, cardiac or kidney disease
- An infertile couple may also choose a Gestational carrier after having failed several IVF/ICSI cycles
Using IVF in Gestational Surrogacy
