How long does it take for an embryo to implant with assisted hatching?
Assisted hatching is a laboratory procedure in which an embryologist makes a small incision in the shell (or zona pellucida) enclosing the embryo during this procedure. If the shell is excessively thick, some embryos may struggle to break through, resulting in a failure implantation attempt during the embryo transfer. Implantation usually occurs 1-2 days after day 5 of IVF blastocyst transfer.
