Some women are unable to carry a pregnancy and give birth to their child. There are so many reasons involved in this, like repeated miscarriage, embryo implantation failure, hysterectomy or a pelvic disorder. Some may have health risks like high blood pressure, a heart condition or liver disease won’t let her to become a pregnant.
Some people may choose a baby for adoption and this is limited to the number of babies’ availability for adoption. For others the next possible solution is surrogacy, with the help of another person who will carry a child for the intended parents. This method is only acceptable when the intended mother’s situation is very dangerous to carry a child herself or she does not have a uterus of her own or for couples in same sex relationships.
In some cases commissioning parents involved in surrogacy agreements even though capable of bearing a child, because they wish to avoid the physical, social, psychological or financial drawbacks of giving birth to a child themselves however this is not acceptable use of a surrogacy agreement.
