Surrogacy India

Surrogacy is when a woman carries baby for infertile couple. The two main types of surrogacy are gestational surrogacy and donor surrogacy. In gestational surrogacy, the pregnancy results from the transmission of an embryo formed by in vitro fertilization (IVF), so the resultant baby is hereditary unrelated to the surrogate mother. Gestational surrogate is also referred to as gestational carrier.

Who really desires surrogacy?

Surrogacy is desired for women who have medical problems that make her incapable to conceive a baby. Repeated implant failures and IVF failures are main reasons for opting for surrogacy. Intrauterine adhesions, fibroidal uterus, cervical ineffectiveness recurrent abortions etc. are also the reasons which require surrogacy for baby’s birth. It is enhanced that surrogate mother should be less than the age of 35 and have her own kids and family.

After simulating the ovaries, eggs are retrieved and fertilization of the egg with sperm is done in the IVF labs.  Surrogate’s endometrium is prepared with estrogen medication and later embryo is transferred to the womb of the surrogate mother.
