Using a surrogate mother for the children is prohibited in Germany. But with the recent advancements with the High Court in Karlsruhe, a baby will be recognized as a German citizen born abroad through surrogacy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As two gay men opted for surrogacy in California and have a baby boy through a surrogate mother. The two men were registered as the legal parents of the child in the United States, but when they return home the German authorities not recognized the child as their own baby. Even though the two men and the baby living in Berlin for the last three and half years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/kiranivfgenetic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/dad_and_baby2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-2013 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/kiranivfgenetic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/dad_and_baby2-498x295.jpg\" alt=\"successful dad with baby\" width=\"448\" height=\"266\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Deutsche Welle the court ruled that the German authorities must respect as \u201cpart of child\u2019s welfare to be able to rely on the parents to have continuous responsibility for its well-being.\u201d but surrogacy in Germany is prohibited.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This advancement in the law gives a small relief to the LGBT couples and parents who opt for surrogacy in countries like India, Nepal and US.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Surrogacy is illegal in Germany.
