In Vitro Fertilization is where eggs from a woman\u2019s ovaries are collected and mixed with a man\u2019s sperm in a glass dish in a laboratory or in other words outside the body. The phrase-In Vitro has a Latin origin and literally it means \u201cin glass\u201d. This is a reference to a container made of glass where egg\/ oocyte fertilization takes place.
