Of all the hits Diem Brown has taken throughout her 3 battles with cancer over the past 9 years, the toughest was the emergency hysterectomy she underwent in August.
The MTV reality star and blogger, 32, had previously gone to extraordinary lengths to freeze her eggs in hopes of sometime experiencing maternity and giving birth.
But once she was diagnosed with cancer for the third time, that dream was lost.
“I fought for it so much, and that i wasn’t allowed to have it,” she tells folks. “I’m not compassionate myself, however there is a mind-set that you just will do something, and that is what i would ever believe.”
She adds: “I would like to be pregnant; I’d like to feel a life growing inside me, however i know anymore not an option anymore.”
Instead, Brown, who is presently single, says once the time involves begin her family, she’ll concentrate on an alternate route to motherhood: Surrogacy.
“My big goal in life is to prove people wrong,” says the activist, whose friends launched a support page for her on MedGift, the written account she based for those plagued by any sickness. “You think I’m out? Watch: I’m going to get healthy, and I’m going to have my family and my dream again.”
