Surrogate Parenting
Surrogate Mother/Father
Surrogate Mothers carry a baby and give birth to the intended parents. Depending on the situations, surrogate parenting is one of the possible alternatives for couples who are facing infertility. The woman who wants to be the surrogate mother is the one who replaces the baby’s biological mother by getting the embryos transferred into her womb, and giving birth to the baby after her gestation.
Women with gestational surrogacy become pregnant through IVF (In vitro Fertilization) and give birth to a child, which is not biologically related to surrogate mother
- An embryo is produced by the intended parents or donor’s egg/sperm.
- The surrogate mother’s egg is not used.
- Embryo is formed by using ART (Assisted Reproductive Technology).
- One/more of the embryos are transferred into the surrogate mother’s womb.
- The surrogate mothers give birth with the affection and with the support of the intended parents and the intended parents go home with their bundle of joy!
