- Consultation & Treatment Planning
Your journey begins with a detailed consultation with your fertility specialist.
Your medical and fertility history, previous treatment, investigations, and individual circumstances will be reviewed. Where appropriate, your doctor may recommend additional tests or assessments before treatment begins.
Your specialist will explain your recommended IVF approach, expected timeline, and the different stages of treatment, giving you time to ask questions and discuss any concerns.
- Preparing for Your IVF Cycle
The timing of your arrival and the start of treatment will depend on your individual treatment plan and menstrual cycle.
For many patients beginning an IVF cycle, arriving approximately two days before your expected period allows time for your initial assessment and treatment planning.
Your exact timing will be discussed and confirmed with your fertility specialist and International Patient Coordinator before you travel.
- Ovarian Stimulation & Monitoring
Once your IVF cycle begins, medication is used to stimulate the ovaries and encourage the development of multiple follicles.
Your response will be monitored through appointments that may include ultrasound examinations and blood tests. Medication and treatment timing may be adjusted according to your individual response.
Ovarian stimulation commonly takes approximately 10–12 days, although this can vary from patient to patient.
- Egg Retrieval & Fertilization
When your follicles reach the appropriate stage of development, your fertility specialist will schedule your egg retrieval procedure.
The eggs are then taken to our embryology laboratory, where fertilization may be performed using conventional IVF or ICSI, depending on your individual treatment plan.
Our embryology team will carefully monitor the resulting embryos as they develop.
- Embryo Culture & Transfer
Your embryos will be monitored during their development in our embryology laboratory.
- Embryo Transfer
In most cases, embryos are frozen for transfer during a subsequent cycle. If you wish to consider a fresh embryo transfer, this can also be discussed with your fertility specialist. Your doctor will explain both options, including the approach recommended for you, so that you understand the differences and can make an informed decision about your treatment.
- After Embryo Transfer
Following embryo transfer, your doctor will provide guidance regarding medications, follow-up, and when to take your pregnancy test.
If you return home before your pregnancy test or require continued follow-up, our team can remain in communication with you through phone, email, or video consultation.
Your follow-up care will be planned according to your individual circumstances.
