Male Infertility – Partly Responsible for Infertility
Infertility is the failure of a couple to become pregnant after a year of regular, unprotected interaction. Infertility also known as sub-fertility may be due to a distinct cause in either you or your partner, or a grouping of factors that may prevent a pregnancy from happening. Some couples attempting their first pregnancy meet with failure. These define patients as primarily infertile if they have been unable to achieve a pregnancy after one year of unprotected interaction.

Pharmacological cure has been used empirically for infertile patients when surgical treatment fails. Today efforts are made to purposely identify causes of male infertility such as infectious, immunological or hormonal factors in order to advise a specific treatment. However in many cases no particular cause can be found and empirical cure are still used. In case of treatment failure, depending on the rigorousness of male infertility then IVF, insemination or ICSI (Micro Fertilization) can be undertake regardless of the etiology. Intra-Uterine Insemination (IUI) indicated in Male Fertility factor irregularity prevented in so many cases, treatment helps in cervical problem with Female Fertility abnormalities. IVF and IUI prevention is possible in case when it is indicated because of male infertility.
