Dr. Kiran D Sekhar
Dr Kiran Sekhar is one of India’s most eminent Gynaecologists and Obstetricians and serves as Senior Consultant – Gynaecology & Female Fertility at Kiran Infertility Centre. She completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate medical education at Osmania General Hospital, Hyderabad, achieving the rare distinction of ranking first in both her M.B.B.S. and M.D. examinations.
In recognition of her academic excellence, she was awarded 11 gold medals by the then Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh, Shri Channa Reddy, in 1972. She later served as Vice President of FOGSI (Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India), representing a professional body of nearly 20,000 obstetricians and gynaecologists across the country.
Dr Kiran began her career in government service as an Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Government Maternity Hospital, Hyderabad, where she served for 12 years. Owing to her exceptional work in reproductive medicine, she was appointed In-Charge of the Infertility Division at a remarkably young age. She subsequently moved abroad and served as Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Fahad Hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for four years.
Widely recognized across India and internationally for her pioneering contributions to infertility treatment and IVF technology, Dr Kiran combines clinical excellence with extraordinary compassion.
